When you encounter this type of errors while deleting a file or folder, the Unlocker Assistant will popup immediately and provide you a list of actions to choose from (delete, rename, move, copy etc).  Simply select all the process that were using the particular  file and select an action from the list, then simply click the unlock button. Done !

Overdisk

OverDisk is a disk usage browser. It can be used to quickly find out how a partition’s space is distributed among the file system hierarchy. In other words, it will help you to find and fix programs which are using large space on your hard drive.

It’s remarkable that i found once my Thunder Bird mail client was using a large amount of  space on my system drive and with the help of this utility,  i manage to free up 1.5 gb of space that were used by unwanted mail attachments.

* A small tip for thunder bird users. Deleting the mails alone will not freeup the space used my those mails. After deleting the unwanted mails, you need to goto Tools and click “Compact Folder” to free up the space used by those deleted mails.

Deskpins

DeskPins can be used to make any application topmost, that is, to keep it above all other windows. Just grab a pin from the DeskPins icon in the system notification area (a.k.a. taskbar tray) and click on any window. This functionality is identical to the “Always on Top” setting found in some programs. With DeskPins you can add this feature to any program!

To put any window on top, just click on the system tray icon of deskpins and click on the desired window you want to put on top.

To put back to normal, just click on the X icon that appear when you move your mouse over the Deskpin on your window.
